It is summer again which means VACATION!! This year we are leaving the van in the garage (I hear it sighing a relief as it already has 130,000 miles on it and it's just 5 years old!) and FLYING to ENGLAND! This may be the trip to end all trips. You be the judge. The following is our itinerary:* Arrive in London and head straight to the lovely village of Pitton (south of London) to stay with my one committed Blog reader Doric! We will be there for 5 days and we hope to not be too much of a bother. We hope to see Salisbury, Bath, as well as the idyllic village of Pitton while there.
*Train to London to stay for a week. We have a fabulous apartment just down the road from the JWT London offices, so while Steve works, we play! Emily has grand ideas for all the things we're going to do and show Pete while we're there. (she's so my daughter)
*Train to Liverpool. A two night stay gives us just enough time to take the Magical Mystery Tour and see all things Beatles.
*Ferry to Isle of Man for a week's visit with our good friends, the Jagi. They have quite an itinerary set for us!
*Ferry off the Isle, rent a car and head up to the Scottish Highlands. It will be two intense car-driving days to get over to Ft. William to ride the Jacobite Steam Train (the train used in the filming of the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter) and then back east to get started on a week's stay in our CASTLE!!
*Stay in a castle with our IOM friends in Fife, Scotland, while making day trips to Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Sterling, etc.
Come home completely exhausted!
I have no idea what my internet connection options will be, but I will try to update as we go along. All in all, we're pretty excited!
